DeAndre Hopkins Could Remain With Cardinals
2 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins could remain with the team, according to Darren Urban of Word From The Birds. "I had a great talk with D-Hop a couple weeks ago," commented general manager Monti Ossenfort during a radio appearance. "I'm excited to work with him. I think any roster decisions like that, we are in the very early stages right now." Hopkins finished the 2022-23 campaign with 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns in nine appearances, missing eight games due to suspension and a knee injury. There will certainly be more to this situation, especially moving closer to the 2023 NFL Draft. However, while the 30-year-old may still end up playing elsewhere this season, it appears the door is open for him to stay in Arizona. With that said, Kyler Murray (knee) and Colt McCoy (undisclosed) aren't expected to be ready to begin the year, so instability at the quarterback spot could severely impact Hopkins' fantasy potential, assuming he doesn't getting moved elsewhere.
