DeAndre Hopkins Could Favor Contender Over Titans, Patriots
1 year agoFree agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had visits with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots last week but didn't sign a deal with either franchise. According to Albert Breer, Hopkins could be holding out hope to sign with a contender closer to the start of training camp. Hopkins has played in six playoff games during his 10-year NFL career but has yet to reach a conference championship game. The 31-year-old likely knows Tennessee and New England are on the outside looking in on the AFC's playoff race in 2023. The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have been rumored suitors for Hopkins' services, who are among the favorites to win Super Bowl 58. Neither team has hosted Hopkins yet and Kansas City would have work to do to fit his contract on their payroll, but Hopkins' decision might not come for another couple of weeks or even over a month.
