The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed defensive end Dawuane Smoot (Achilles) to a one-year deal on Friday with a maximum value of $6.25 million. Smoot had a visit with the Baltimore Ravens looming, but the Jaguars stepped up to bring him back into the fold after he suffered a torn right Achilles last December. The 28-year-old has worked hard to get himself healthy again, though, so he'll be a part of Jacksonville's defensive plan in 2023. The former third-rounder in 2017 has played all six of his NFL seasons with the Jags, totaling 123 tackles (86 solo), 22.5 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, 60 QB hits, five passes defensed, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 87 games (17 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
