David Price Struggles Again Saturday Against the Royals
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price was knocked around by the Royals on Saturday, giving up four earned runs on six hits with a walk over 4 2/3 innings pitched. This comes on the heels of a rough outing against the Yankees last Saturday. These two outings have taken Price's ERA from 3.66 up to 4.44. The bright spot for Price was the strikeouts, as he was able to punch out nine Royals. He should still be held in all formats and has a chance to rebound in his next scheduled start coming next Wednesday against the Blue Jays at home, where he has pitched more effectively. Owners should be aware, however, that his ERA will likely be closer to 4.00 than the 3.28 mark he has posted over his career.
