Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (quad) missed his second consecutive day of practice on Thursday. The fifth-year veteran was injured in the Lions' Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks, suffering a deep bruise to his thigh on a play in the third quarter. So far, Montgomery has seen the most work out of the backfield, getting 37 rushing attempts to rookie Jahmyr Gibbs' 14. Gibbs could have the breakout fantasy managers drafted him for his Montgomery misses time. The Lions take on the Atlanta Falcons at home in Week 3.--Dan Stephens
