David Fletcher Collects Four Hits Tuesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder David Fletcher went 4-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored during a 5-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The 27-year-old collected three hits, including two doubles, off Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi. The pesky Fletcher now has 16 doubles, 48 runs, 27 RBI, four steals and a .295/.324/.677 slash line over 80 games. While Fletcher is a nice batting-average stabilizer and a solid source of runs, he offers limited upside elsewhere. Fletcher posted solid stolen base numbers in the minors (60 in 336 games), but table-setters for Shohei Ohtani, Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout, when healthy, don't need to be in traditional scoring position.
