David Dahl's Activation Isn't Imminent
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder David Dahl (back, rib) will continue his rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Wednesday with Triple-A Round Rock having the day off. Dahl started his rehab assignment last Saturday after being sidelined since May 26 with a left rib contusion. He also developed a back injury while rehabbing his rib, which has delayed his return to the major league roster. The oft-injured 27-year-old left-handed hitter hasn't done much at the plate this year on top of that, slashing just .208/.242/.340 with four home runs, 16 runs scored, 12 RBI and one stolen base in 144 at-bats for the Rangers. As long as he doesn't have any setbacks on his rehab assignment, Dahl could return to the Rangers lineup sometime early next week.
