David Blough Posts Solid Effort In Week 13 Loss
5 years agoDetroit Lions rookie quarterback David Blough impressed in his first-ever game action, completing 22 of 38 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Lions Thanksgiving Day loss to the Bears. Blough shocked everyone with a 75-yard bomb to wide receiver Kenny Golladay on the opening drive. He then followed it up with a touchdown to Marvin Jones on his second drive. It was mostly quiet from then on, but the rookie clearly came to play. If Matthew Stafford (back) is unable to start in Week 14, it is likely that Jeff Driskel (hamstring) will be back under center. If not, Blough will slot in as a mid-range QB2 for that matchup.
