Darren Waller A Difference-Maker For Giants Offense
1 year agoESPN New York's Jordan Raanan writes that it took all of one play this offseason to see the difference that tight end Darren Waller can make for the New York Giants offense this year. On the first play of organized team activities with the media in attendance, Waller blew by the nickel cornerback and caught a deep ball down the right sideline. Waller stood out with his size and explosiveness, and he looked healthy after two injury-plagued seasons. If the 30-year-old can stay on the field, he should easily lead this team in targets, making him a bounce-back candidate and fine midrange TE1 target in fantasy drafts this fall. After posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Raiders in 2019 and 2020, Waller combined for 1,053 yards and five TDs in the last two seasons over 20 games.
