Darius Miller Scores 21 Points As Starter
6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans small forward Darius Miller entered the starting lineup on Thursday against OKC and he dropped a nice line in a bigger role, scoring 21 points with a season-high seven rebounds, two assists, and one block. Miller shot 8-for-17 from the field and was very active from downtown, finishing 5-for-11 with his triples. Nikola Mirotic (calf) has been ruled out for at least one week and Julius Randle (ankle) didn't play either, so Miller will become a popular short-term pickup. He logged 38 minutes against the Thunder and should see a similar load on Saturday against San Antonio. Jahlil Okafor, who had 18 points and eight rebounds on Thursday, and Cheick Diallo also benefit from the frontcourt injuries.
