Darin Ruf Suffers Right Hamstring Injury On Wednesday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Darin Ruf (hamstring) was removed from Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks due to a right hamstring injury. He suffered the injury after making a big turn around first base. He was replaced in the game by Jason Vosler. The team placed fellow first baseman Brandon Belt (oblique) on the injured list on Wednesday, so the timing of Ruf's injury couldn't be worse for the Giants. There hasn't been any news in regards to the severity of the injury yet. He should be considered day-to-day until we hear more.
