Dany Jimenez Blows Sunday's Save Opportunity
2 years agoOakland Athletics right-hander Dany Jimenez came into Sunday's game looking to shut down the New York Mets in the ninth inning with a one-run lead. Things didn't go as planned, as the 29-year-old gave up a run on one hit and three walks while recording just one out, a strikeout, before being replaced. Oakland eventually lost the game 4-3 in extra innings. Jimenez hasn't had the start to the season fantasy managers have hoped for, pitching to a 5.40 ERA with four strikeouts and six walks across 6.2 innings. He has the only save of the club's staff, but was never given the closer title and will likely be sharing save chances with Trevor May and Jeurys Familia even if he improves.
