7 years agoCleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar (shoulder) is scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time this spring on Thursday. He's set to throw approximately 20 pitches in a side session. Salazar is dealing with inflammation in his rotator cuff and hasn't been able to do much in Spring Training. He'll start the season on the disabled list, and it is still unclear how long he'll need to stay there. Josh Tomlin will take his place in the starting rotation, but he shouldn't be too much of a roadblock if Salazar is able to come back strong.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
