Danny Salazar Could Resume Throwing In November
6 years agoCleveland Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said starting pitcher Danny Salazar (shoulder) could resume throwing in November after having right shoulder surgery in July. He'll initially be built up as a starter, but he could be asked to pitch in relief depending on the team's needs. Salazar did not pitch at all this year after going 5-6 with a 4.28 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and career-high 12.7 K/9 in 23 outings (19 starts) in 2017. He has plenty of strikeout upside (career 10.5 K/9), but he'll need to prove his health to return to fantasy relevance in 2019. He won't have much value if he's pitching out of the bullpen again.
