6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (shoulder), who suffered another shoulder impingement in his start on Tuesday, said he thinks that he will be shut down for the rest of the season. It's a valid assumption, as the Royals have nothing to play for and haven't for a while. The southpaw made it just two-thirds of an inning on Tuesday night and would end his season with an ugly 8-12 record and 4.88 ERA over 28 starts. Ian Kennedy should replace Duffy in the rotation as soon as this weekend, but Kennedy is a bad fantasy option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
