Danny Duffy Suffers First Loss Despite Strong Outing
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy made his third straight quality start to open the 2021 season on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get any run support and was tagged with the loss in the game, his first loss of the year. Duffy pitched six innings on Monday and allowed four hits, two walks and two runs, both unearned. He struck out eight. Through three starts this year, Duffy has a 0.50 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and a strikeout rate of 26%. Duffy needs to be rostered in all fantasy leagues due to his fantastic start to the year. He'll make his next start on Monday against the Detroit Tigers.
