Danny Amendola Catches Three Passes For 21 Yards
Danny Amendola caught all three of his targets in Week 12 and went on to gain 21 yards on the day. Amendola has continued to be involved in the offense, with at least three catches in six straight games now, but he's only topped 50 receiving yards three times this year. Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones are the top receivers on the team and Amendola is the clear No. 3. He might have one or two more solid games the rest of the way, but it will be tough to predict when they occur. He can be left on waivers in just about all leagues until further notice.

Danny Amendola Concludes Season With Two-TD Performance
Danny Amendola returned to action for Sunday's defeat to the Titans, but he saved his best performance of the season for Week 18. Amendola had previously accrued just one touchdown all year -- Week 1 against Jacksonville; he finished with seven catches for 113 yards and two scores vs. Tennessee, setting season highs in each category. Amendola finishes the year with three touchdowns, his highest total since 2016, whereas his receiving yards total (248) is the lowest since that same year. Houston's passing game was a struggle for the majority of '21 with or without him on the field, but he delivered for those aggressive DFS managers that slotted him into lineups. The veteran wideout is set to become a free agent ahead of his age-37 season, having appeared for four different franchises over the past five years.

Danny Amendola Lands On Injured Reserve
Danny Amendola (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery this past week. The 36-year-old is expected to miss four to six weeks. Through seven games this season, he caught 17 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown. He's not on the fantasy radar whatsoever.

Danny Amendola Undergoes Knee Surgery
Danny Amendola (knee) underwent arthroscopic knee surgery this week after suffering a meniscus injury in the Week 12 win over the New York Jets, and he could miss up to four weeks. With only six weeks left in the season, it's highly plausible that the Texans just shut the 36-year-old slot man down for the rest of the 2021 season. Amendola will likely be placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday. He missed four games earlier this year with a hamstring injury but is third on the team with 29 targets. It speaks to the lack of viable options in Houston's passing attack. Brandin Cooks remains the target hog in this offense, although rookie Nico Collins should see more run down the stretch in a lost season. Collins is still a shaky WR4/flex in this low-scoring offense, but he deserves watching in deeper leagues the rest of the way.

Danny Amendola Could Miss Up To Four Weeks
Danny Amendola (knee) could miss up to four weeks after suffering a knee injury in the Week 12 loss to the New York Jets. Amendola had arthroscopic surgery on the knee on Tuesday and could be a candidate to land on Injured Reserve. With only six weeks left in the season, the 36-year-old may not return again this year, depending on his recovery from the surgery. In seven games this season, the slot man has 17 catches on 29 targets for 135 yards and one touchdown. It's been a crapshoot trying to rely on any receiver for Houston not named Brandin Cooks in fantasy this year, but Amendola's injury should open up more targets for intriguing rookie Nico Collins moving forward. Chris Conley and Chris Moore are also in the picture.
