Danilo Gallinari May Provide "Crucial Lift" For Boston
Danilo Gallinari (knee) could have a more prominent role this season, with Jake Fischer of Yahoo.com expecting him to provide a "crucial lift" for the club. Gallinari, who didn't last year because of a torn ACL, picked up his $6.8 million player option. He's bounced around since entering the league in 2008, making stops in New York, Denver, Los Angeles (Clippers), OKC, and Atlanta, averaging 15.6 points and 4.7 rebounds. Gallinari is also a 38.2% shooter from deep, and with Boston potentially losing Grant Williams (hand) and Malcolm Brogdon, he may be more valuable for fantasy managers than initially expected, even if he comes off the bench. Unfortunately, his inability to stay healthy has been an issue over the years.
