4 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers placed first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring. Infielder Keston Hiura was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. Vogelbach was injured on Tuesday night. The 28-year-old was hitting just .216 with seven home runs and 16 RBI in 171 at-bats this year. He was only relevant for his power in NL-only leagues. Hiura slashed .130/.217/.222 with 48 strikeouts and eight walks in 122 plate appearances in two stints with the Brewers this year, but he has torn up Triple-A pitching by hitting .403 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 20 games. He'll get another chance at first base in Milwaukee, but those in mixed leagues will likely want to see if he's made an adjustment before rushing to pick him up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
