1 year agoDaniel Suarez finished second in qualifying among Trackhouse Racing cars. The Mexican driver did not end up behind Ross Chastain. Chastain is near the back in 34th. No, Shane Van Gisbergen qualified two spots ahead of Suarez in third. Now, Suarez edged out Michael McDowell for fifth by 0.006 seconds. The No. 99 has seen victory lane on a road course before. That came at Sonoma last June. However, the past three road tracks have seen Suarez struggle with a variety of issues.
