6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon will be called up from the minors to start against the Brewers on Tuesday in place of Michael Wacha (knee), who landed on the 10-day injured list with left knee patellar tendinitis. Poncedeleon was 0-2 in 11 outings (four starts) for the Cardinals last year, and he'll face a tough matchup against Milwaukee. We wouldn't recommend starting the team's No. 15 prospect as a streamer in that matchup, but he could be in line to make more starts at the MLB level later this year. Wacha is expected to only miss one start, so Poncedeleon will likely be sent back down after Tuesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
