5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon will be recalled from the minors to start one of the games of a doubleheader against the Reds on Saturday. Poncedeleon has been pretty effective as a spot starter for the Red Birds this year, posting a 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 44 strikeouts and 21 walks in 40 2/3 innings over seven starts and three relief outings. If he can limit his free passes against Cincy, he should be an effective streamer for fantasy owners this weekend. In his last three starts, though, Poncedeleon hasn't gone longer than 3 2/3 frames.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
