Daniel Poncedeleon Throws Three Scoreless Innings
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon pitched three scoreless innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the New York Mets. Poncedeleon allowed just two hits and struck out four without issuing a walk. He's a candidate for the starting rotation after holding his own in 48 2/3 innings (eight starts) last season. With Miles Mikolas (arm) expected to miss the beginning of the season, Poncedeleon has a chance to earn a starting spot if he can keep pitching like he did in this game. He likely won't be much more than an intriguing DFS option, though.
