Daniel Poncedeleon Pitches Absolute Gem In Debut Monday
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon threw a no-hitter for seven innings on Monday. The right-hander, who was struck in the head with a baseball last year in the minors, threw 116 pitches and only walked three Cincinnati Reds batters while giving up no hits in his Major League debut. He would ultimately end up with a no-decision for the game when the Reds scored two runs in the ninth. Poncedeleon will be on the most added list in all leagues tomorrow. His next start should come Sunday against the Chicago Cubs.
