Daniel Poncedeleon Electric but Inefficient on Tuesday
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals rookie starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon was electric but inefficient on Tuesday. He struck out eight in just four innings of work, but it took him 90 pitches to get just 12 outs. He allowed only one run on five hits, but was noticeably struggling with his control at times. Poncedeleon took the starting rotation spot formerly occupied by Luke Weaver, but he'll need to go deeper into games if he wants to keep his place.
