Daniel Poncedeleon Can't Escape the Fourth Inning on Wednesday
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon struggled on Wednesday, lasting just 3 2/3 innings while allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks. He struck out three and allowed a home run. Poncedeleon ended up with a no decision, but his ERA went up to 2.80. This was his fifth start of the season, but his first since officially taking Michael Wacha's spot in the rotation. Poncedeleon has been good and should have mixed league value going forward, but this wasn't his best effort.
