6 years agoThe Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Daniel Palka to Triple-A Charlotte after the game on Wednesday. Palka, who led the team with 27 home runs as a rookie in 2018, got his first hit in 35 at-bats on Wednesday before he was sent down. The Sox want Palka to work on his swing, and eventually he'll return and fare better at the plate. Those that were holding onto him in deep mixed leagues can now look for other options. Palka's demotion is good news for Adam Engel's playing time, but the Sox might elect to bring up another outfielder for depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
