Daniel Lynch Allows Three Runs Over 4 2/3 Innings
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Daniel Lynch had some trouble on the mound in Tuesday's game against the New York Yankees. He pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed four hits, four walks and three earned runs while striking out six. He was pulled after throwing 100 pitches. The Royals have had no problem extending Lynch in his starts. He's now thrown at least 95 pitches in each of his last four starts. However, this was the shortest start of that stretch in terms of innings. Lynch has shown a lot of improvements since his second call-up to the majors in July. He has a 4.60 ERA over his last four starts, far superior to his 15.75 ERA over his first three starts this year. He's worth keeping an eye on, but isn't a must-add in any redraft league at this point. He'll make his next start on Tuesday against the Houston Astros.
