Daniel Jones To Take Time Before Contemplating Future
2 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 135 yards and an interception during Saturday's playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He also ran for 24 yards off six carries. The signal-caller, whose fifth-year option was declined by the club in April, will now head into the offseason as a free agent. However, Jones refused to discuss his future with the Giants, although there's a belief he wants to remain in New York. The 2019 No. 6 overall pick finished the season by amassing a career-high 3,205 passing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and completing 67.2% of his throws. He also had 15 passing touchdowns, the second-highest mark of his career, and only five picks. Considering his improvement from previous seasons, the team would likely love to have him back. That said, while Jones should draw more fantasy interest heading into the 2023-24 campaign, he has a way to go before managers can trust him to be a consistent starting option.
