Daniel Hudson Pitching Poorly Since Joining Friars
3 years agoSan Diego Padres reliever Daniel Hudson continued his poor run as a Friar Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, suffering three earned runs in ⅔ innings. Entering the seventh with a 6-1 lead, Hudson permitted a walk and double before striking out two batters. He was lifted after issuing another free pass but was charged with all three baserunners as reliever Emilio Pagan served a grand slam to the next batter. After a lights-out 2.20 ERA with the Washington Nationals, Hudson has posted an ugly 8.10 ERA in 10 appearances with San Diego. With the bullpen going off the rails, Hudson will continue receiving opportunities, but his chances in high-leverage should narrow.
