Daniel Hemric was slow in qualifying and nearly 3/4 of a second off of the pole time set by Denny Hamlin. Furthermore, he will start from 37th at Nashville this Sunday afternoon. The Kaulig Racing Chevy may have a few issues getting around the 1.33-mile course. Though Nashville behaves like a superspeedway in some ways, the track has been fast and Hemric's car has been bleeding time off turns everywhere. After 10 and 15 laps, the times started to rise near the 31-second lap level. The expectation is this number balloons in longer runs on Sunday. More cautions might help Hemric gain track position. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
