Daniel Carlson Nearly Blanked Again As Raiders Offense Sputters
1 month agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson had another game with virtually no opportunities to score as the Raiders fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 32-13 in Week 6. Las Vegas scored a touchdown on their first drive and afforded Carlson an extra point attempt but were held scoreless until the fourth quarter when they scored a touchdown in garbage time and failed on a two-point conversion attempt. The seventh-year pro has now logged two games of just one PPR fantasy points scored. It isn't easy to evaluate his current skill level when he's given so few opportunities to boot balls through the uprights. As far as fantasy football goes, he's utterly unstartable because he's on one of the worst offenses in the NFL. He will have good games, but the potential for near-goose-egg performances is too great. Fantasy managers should avoid using Carlson as a kicker in the Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
