Daniel Berger got off to a hot start early Saturday morning and fired a beautiful four-under 66 in the third round of the U.S. Open. After beginning the day at 7-over par for the tournament and nowhere near the lead, Berger surged up the leaderboard while sitting in the clubhouse Saturday afternoon. While the leaders struggled in almost impossible conditions as the day wore on, Berger's score of 3-over par was good enough to be tied for the U.S. Open lead as the third round came to a close. Berger will be in the final group Sunday afternoon and shares the 54-hole lead with Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller

Daniel Berger is making his first start at the Masters since 2022 after dealing with a multitude of injuries. The 2025 season has been kind to Berger, with four top-20 finishes, including a T-2 at the WM Phoenix Open. He has thrived in all the elements needed to excel at Augusta National this season. He ranks 41st in strokes gained off the tee, 44th in strokes gained putting, and 19th in strokes gained around the green. Truly a masterclass in all facets. He has a chance to truly contend this weekend and should be a dark horse with great value in DFS.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

Daniel Berger tied for 20th at The PLAYERS Championship earlier this month. He is now focusing on preparing for the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio this week. So far this season, Berger has only missed the cut twice in eight tournaments and has five consecutive top-25 finishes. Over the past year, Berger ranks in the 75th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from over 200 yards in the fairway. This is particularly relevant because at last year's Valero Texas Open, over 28% of approach shots came from this distance. Given his recent performance, Berger could be a strong addition to DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

2025 is shaping up to be a resurgent year for Daniel Berger. The 31-year-old finished T15 last week at the API to continue a strong run over his previous four starts, resulting in nothing less than a top 25 finish and including positive strokes gained metrics across the board. While he has yet to get back into the winner's circle, he's certainly putting himself in the mix enough to expect it sooner than later. For a place like the Stadium Course, Berger is a prime candidate for success. He ranks 13th on the PGA Tour this season in bogey avoidance, 18th in driving accuracy (66.43%), and has impeccable proximity numbers with short irons and wedges. As long as the vibes stay high, keep playing him with confidence.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller

Daniel Berger is making his first start at Bay Hill since 2019. Before the coming out year the following season, and the injuries that came after that, he is undoubtedly a much different player in 2025. Coming off a string of good finishes, the 31-year-old will be a name to watch on Thursday. After a poor weekend with the irons at PGA National last week, where he lost -2.21 strokes, the hopefully firmer conditions of Bay Hill will allow him to rely more on his impressive short game and prowess on bermuda greens to churn out another high finish. If his lack of experience at this event keeps his ownership levels lower than the guys around him, Berger should be a confident start at $9,700 on FanDuel.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller
