D'Angelo Russell Stays Quiet Monday Night
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell had a fairly quiet night with 18 points on 7-for-19 shooting in Monday's loss to Cleveland. That's now four consecutive outings with below 40 percent shooting by Russell, who added four assists, two rebounds, and one steal on Monday. Russell is in a perfect situation to deliver big scoring performances as long as Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) remains out, but the 24-year-old just can't seem to get his shots to drop. He has a great matchup on the horizon against the Spurs, who allow the fifth-most points in the league to opposing point guards, but on current form, it's best to avoid using Russell in your lineup.
