D'Angelo Russell Notches Season-High 35 Points
3 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell picked up season-high 35 points on 13-for-25 shooting in Saturday's double-overtime win against the Sixers, going a superb 6-for-10 from downtown. He recorded four rebounds and eight assists, while also making big plays on the defensive end. Russell snapped up his second steal of the night with 10 seconds left in the second overtime, which led to a game-winning basket. He also produced two blocks in 44 minutes of action. The 25-year-old continues to switch between good and mediocre performances and this one was a great one from him. However, fantasy managers should now be wary of the matchup, as it's been a while since Russell has managed to string together two strong performances. The meeting against Indiana isn't a great spot for him either.
