1 year agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Damiere Byrd (hamstring) has been waived by the team. The veteran wideout was on injured reserve with a hamstring issue and received an injury settlement. Byrd wasn't a lock to make the Panthers' 53-man roster even when he was healthy but the injury put a major damper on his prospects. He's now free to sign anywhere but the hamstring issue is likely to play a factor on when/where he can sign. The veteran journeyman has totaled 1,689 receiving yards to go along with seven scores across a seven-year NFL career with five different teams.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
