Dallas Goedert Looks To Separate In Week 2
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was by far the most effective Eagles tight end in Week 1 despite a nearly even split of routes run with Zach Ertz. Goedert ran 26 receiving routes compared to Ertz's 23. Of course, Goedert was able to take five targets and turn them into four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown while Ertz only saw two balls thrown his way. Still, with the two running almost the same number of routes, any week could be a more even split in targets and opportunities as well, limiting Goedert's upside. The tight end usage in Week 2 will be interesting to track, as the Eagles likely won't be nursing a huge lead for the entire second half. Goedert is still a TE1, but he's somewhere in the 10-12 range there.
