5 years agoThe Chicago Cubs are signing free-agent outfielder Carlos Gonzalez to a minor league deal on Thursday, according to a source. Gonzalez was released by the Indians and would give the Cubs some outfield depth if he's called up. The 33-year-old Venezuelan hit just .210/.282/.276 with two homers and seven RBI in 105 at-bats for the Tribe before they released him. At this point in his career, Car-Go doesn't have much left in the tank and won't be much of a fantasy option if he's called up to the Cubbies.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
