Cristopher Sanchez Tosses Complete Game On Saturday
Cristopher Sanchez tossed a complete game on Saturday to lead the Phillies to a victory. The southpaw allowed just two hits and one earned run while striking out four. This was a nice bounce back for the 27-year-old as he served up seven earned runs in his previous outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since July 4, Sanchez has struggled to find consistency as he sports a 6.63 ERA and a 1.66 WHIP through 38 innings of work. Overall, Sanchez sits with a 3.46 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 34:108 BB:K ratio. Under the hood, he carries an excellent 59.1% ground ball rate and a 5.1% barrel rate, which suggests he should have a nice end to the campaign. Sanchez is slated to face the Kansas City Royals next week and should remain in all standard lineups going forward.

Cristopher Sanchez Will Throw A Bullpen On Sunday
Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Sunday. He felt fine after playing catch during pregame warmups on Friday. The 28-year-old was removed from Tuesday's start early due to forearm soreness after just 58 pitches. He is not scheduled for an MRI or additional testing and could avoid being on the injured list altogether. Sanchez will not make his next start against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday, and it is to be determined when he will take the mound next. Phillies ace Zack Wheeler will start in place of Sanchez on Tuesday. Sanchez owns a (2-1) record with a 3.42 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 33 strikeouts over 26 1/3 innings in 2025.

Cristopher Sanchez Feeling Good, No Plans For MRI Exam
Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) is feeling good on Wednesday after being pulled from his start early on Tuesday against the division-rival New York Mets with left-forearm soreness. Sanchez wanted to play catch on Wednesday but wasn't allowed to do so. The Phillies have no plans to send him for an MRI exam, and the 28-year-old southpaw could just have his next scheduled start pushed back a few days. We should know more on his status after he plays catch on Friday. Sanchez's next scheduled start is for next Tuesday against the division-rival Washington Nationals, but that will probably be pushed back. He only made it two innings on Tuesday night and allowed two earned runs. Overall, Sanchez has been strong for fantasy managers in his first five starts, striking out 33 and walking eight in 26 1/3 innings.

Cristopher Sanchez Exits With Forearm Soreness
Cristopher Sanchez was pulled from his start after just two innings and 58 pitches due to left forearm soreness. He will be evaluated further before any more updates are given, but this isn't good news for the breakout lefty. The injury was already starting to show itself early in the start, as his velocity was noticeably down a tick to start the game. It looked like he was taking the next step into ace territory in 2025, posting a 2.96 ERA with 31 strikeouts and six walks through his first four starts of the season. Hopefully this injury isn't the worst-case scenario, but more information should be available within the coming days.

Cristopher Sanchez Dominates In Win
Cristopher Sanchez had his swing-and-miss stuff going during Thursday's game against the San Francisco Giants. The southpaw gave up a run in the first inning, but he settled down nicely after that. Sanchez finished the day tossing seven innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out 12 batters in the win. Sanchez has an impressive 2.96 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 31/6 K/BB ratio across four starts this season. The 12 strikeouts is a career-high for Sanchez who isn't really known as a strikeout pitcher. His next start will come against the New York Mets next week. Sanchez should be rostered and started in basically all fantasy formats right now.
