3 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Cristian Javier is on the team's American League Division Series roster. Javier began the season as a starter but switched to a relief role after nine outings in the rotation. Overall, the 24-year-old has pitched to a 3.55 ERA, a 4.43 FIP, 130 strikeouts, and 53 walks in 101.1 innings this season. Since switching to the bullpen, 14 of Javier's 25 relief appearances have lasted two innings or more. Houston's other bullpen options for the series against the Chicago White Sox include Ryan Pressly, Yimi Garcia, Zack Greinke, Kendall Graveman, Phil Maton, Ryne Stanek, and Brooks Raley.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
