Craig Reynolds Considered The Leader For No. 3 Role
1 year agoDetroit Lions running back Craig Reynolds has won over the coaching staff with his reliability and consistency and has to be considered the leader for the No. 3 running back role behind rookie Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, according to MLive's Kyle Meinke. Jermar Jefferson made some progress in 2022, but he'll continue to struggle to make the roster until he shows development on special teams. Meanwhile, undrafted free agent Mohamed Ibrahim showed enough during the offseason program to be in the running for a roster spot out of training camp. The 27-year-old Reynolds won't be in the fantasy picture unless one of Gibbs or Montgomery miss time with an injury this year. He has 78 carries for 332 yards and no TDs on the ground for the Lions in 14 games (two starts) the last two years.
