Craig Kimbrel Gives Up Three Runs In Wednesday's Loss
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies reliever Craig Kimbrel pitched the 10th inning of a 5-5 tie against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. However, it didn't stay tied for long, as the veteran hurler allowed three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out one as his club lost 8-6. It was Kimbrel's fourth loss of the year, and he now owns a 3.33 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 34.1% strikeout rate with 19 saves across 54 innings. Despite the bad performance, the 35-year-old is still the closer in Philadelphia and will get the majority of ninth-inning opportunities.
