Craig Kimbrel Earns All-Star Game Save
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel helped the National League All-Stars snap their losing streak in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the American League team. Kimbrel came in to pitch the ninth inning up by one. He got the first two outs on a fly-out and strikeout, allowed back-to-back walks, but ended the game with another strikeout. The veteran's ninth All-Star appearance helped the NL team secure their first win since 2012. Kimbrel has found his stride after a rough start to the season and ended the first half with 14 saves, a 3.41 ERA, and a 39.3% strikeout rate. He is the Phillies' arm to roster for fantasy managers in the second half.
