Craig Kimbrel Could Be Open To Three-Year Deal
6 years agoThere is now belief among interested teams that free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel would be willing to accept a three-year deal. Originally, it had been believed that Kimbrel was searching for a five-year pact. MLB Network's Jon Heyman thinks the Braves are the best fit now that Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder) is done for the year, but the Brewers, Nationals and Phillies could also be in on the closer. Kimbrel will be an elite fantasy closer wherever he lands, so he needs to remain stashed in all leagues. The 30-year-old has a career 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 333 saves and 868 strikeouts in 532 2/3 innings.
