Cowboys Waive Cooper Rush
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys waived quarterback Cooper Rush on Monday after they officially signed Andy Dalton to a one-year, $3 million deal. Rush attempted just three passes (all coming in 2017) in his three seasons with the Cowboys as Dak Prescott's backup. Dalton becomes one of the league's best backups behind Prescott now, and the Cowboys also have Clayton Thorson and rookie Ben DiNucci on the roster. Prescott has yet to officially sign his franchise tender, but that will eventually happen if the two sides can't iron out a long-term contract extension before July 15.
