Cowboys Still Easing Ezekiel Elliott In?
5 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott said he thinks he's "ready now for a normal workload" heading into Week 2 against the Redskins, but head coach Jason Garrett pumped the breaks on that a bit. Garrett said the team will be mindful of how little practice time Elliott had this summer because of his holdout. Dallas limited the star running back to only 37 snaps in the opener, and he rushed 13 times for 53 yards and a touchdown. Backup Tony Pollard ran the ball 13 times as well but averaged just 1.8 yards per carry. Even if Elliott doesn't quite have a full workload in Week 2, he needs to remain in all fantasy lineups as an RB1.
