Cowboys Make Offer To Dak Prescott
6 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys have made a long-term contract offer to quarterback Dak Prescott and are currently awaiting a counter-offer. The Cowboys are "sold" on Prescott as their long-term future, according to owner Jerry Jones, but the two sides aren't "close" to ironing anything out just yet. However, it would be an upset if Prescott isn't locked up well before the start of the 2019 season. Dallas is fine with paying Prescott around $30 million a year. He will have wide receiver Amari Cooper for a full season this year, which should help his production improve from a game-to-game basis. Prescott is more of a low-end QB1 heading into this season.
