Corey Seager Posts First Career Five-Hit Day
1 year agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager went 5-for-5 with a home run, a double, four RBI, and two runs scored in an 8-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. It's hard to believe that this was the 29-year-old shortstop's first career five-hit day but it was. He swatted a double off Taj Bradley in the top of the second inning to score two runs and then followed that up with a two-run homer off Jalen Beeks in the top of the fourth. His other three hits were all singles but it was still an impressive performance from Seager. The career day lifts his batting line to a crazy .352/.403/.617 to go along with seven home runs and 33 RBI over 128 at-bats on the year.
