Corey Seager Activated From 10-Day IL
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager was activated from the 10-day IL today after being sidelined with a left hamstring strain in early June. Outfielder Matt Beaty was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City to make room on the roster for Seager. Beaty was a serviceable fill-in for all of the Dodgers injuries during his time with the Dodgers, boasting a .278/.297/.407 slash line with two home runs. Seager will add to an already scary lineup, as he seemed to be getting his swing back after a tough season in 2018, starting 2019 with a .278/.359/.468 slash line and eight home runs. Seager was a regular in the 2-4 spot in the Dodgers lineup before his injury, so it shouldn't be long before he is back contributing at the top of the Dodgers lineup.
