Corey Seager Absent From Monday's Lineup
8 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager is absent from the team's starting lineup on Monday as they take on the Tigers in Detroit. With Seager on the pine to start, Josh Smith will play shortstop and bat fifth in the lineup against Tigers right-hander Reese Olson. Seager will get the day off on Monday after starting each of the team's last five games. The two-time World Series MVP is hitting .304/.400/.393 to pick up where he left off last postseason, but it's come with only one home run and five RBI in the early going. Fantasy managers will need to remove him from their lineups for Monday's action. Ezequiel Duran is also in the lineup at third base and is batting sixth. Smith has gotten a hit in his only career at-bat against Olson, while Duran is 0-for-1 in his career.
